All of those session cats are great friends and some of the very best in the world. They are always such a blast to make music with.

The producer of this Merle and Willie record, Buddy Cannon, has a daughter, Melonie, who sings and at the time of this video, was signed to the same label as I was. I played on this duet that Willie wrote especially for them to do together. I did my parts here at my studio as an overdub, but a few of the guys who did the "pot" video are on here as well. On a side note, I have played on a couple of tracks with Willie and have yet to ever meet him.

Wonder if Willes moved to Colorado yet? Willie had a place just outside of Denver in Evergreen (Upper Bear Creek Road, if I remember correctly.) I wonder if he still owns it, I know it was one of the things he was desperately trying to hang onto when the IRS went after him back in the 80's. |

I can't tell you how grateful I am that you posted this video.
I am so humbled by everyone in this video....
Makes me realise what a hollow existence I have (recording existence) doing all my music essentially on my own.
I really must do a session whilst in Nashville later this year...
