Anyone have one they could share thoughts on? Supposedly a 1272 based pre. Was thinking about snagging one for my next purchase and wanted some feedback first.

$1500 would buy you a nice used BAE 1272 stereo used! With 8 ch of Dan Alexander's I have found that the circuit is the easy part , the Secret Sause is the transformers, nothing sounds like the old ones. The DIY stuff has been pretty impressive and I could live with, something like The Don's 500 series if I didn't have the DA's Some of the modded Chameleon's are pretty good but I have heard some that belong in the trash!

They are pretty solid sounding and have a lot of options on them that raise the cost a bit. I used them for a couple of days when they were still deciding what to put in them for transformers and haven't gotten to hear a full production one. There is more there than meets the eye with them.

I used them too when they were in pre-production. They sounded good...

Has anyone heard the full or final production unit ? These were like $999 or something awhile ago and now they are $1399 I think. No eq like my Old gtq2 but $13-1400 cheaper... any RGO peeps put this pre thru it's paces 😩🤠
