I think most of us have some sort of far out cultural/novelty item in our studios that has been with us for a long time. They can represent anything, inspiration, nostalgia or ? When i built my commercial space back in 94, we put a "Ren" from "Ren and Stimpy", squeeze fart doll between the glass dividing the control room from the big cutting room, when i left, i made a point of retrieving him from between the glass, now he resides here(pic) and will always be present in my personal recording space, he's like family lol, also if he could talk a bunch of us would probably be in jail? or at least laughing pretty hard 8) I'll try to find an old pic of him between the glass. Post pics of your cool weird/novelty/cultural trinkets from your studio. The studio staple classic lava lamp totally counts 8)

I found this guy (the rocket ship) , at a council tip whilst on tour once... I think it was Byron Bay. They had a store, at the tip (dump in american parlance), where they sold stuff they had reclaimed... He has been in every studio I have had... cheers Wiz

I found the pic today in a drawer, here's Ren between cutting/control glass, the guy on the right is Jody, one of the "Fabulous Huff Brothers", the moptop on the left is me @ about 24 years old.. between 1993-95, geez time fly's! The control room was really small because i wanted the cutting room as big as possible, the Tac Scorpion desk was right up against the glass smh...8/ I also just noticed i mounted my JBL's upside down lol...

Don't know where this little guy came from, I think it was a gift for my dog Charlie, but he'd have eaten in ten seconds. So my wife said I should put him in front of the computer to remind me to laugh once in a while. Not bad advice for me, Mr. Serious.

Here's the patron saint of the studio: Remind me not to piss you off. That's some scary stuff there. Haha. Ha! The poster came from a friend who worked at a thrift store and thought it would fit the mood of the original Opium Den Studios. The wire creatures are something I made while working at warehouse when I was in college. I had a big coil of bailing wire and just started winding it and came up with all kinds of strange stuff, including these things.

These are a few of mine. I have something in every booth and room that means something to me. That's definitely not a common rifle caliber. Long neck!

You would have liked one I used to have Randge back when I worked on Mirage Fighter Jets, I had spent 20mm cartridge and inert shell polished...the whole thing was about 7 inches long.... 8) Cheers Wiz

So, I have things hanging around as well. My dad was the only guy allowed to go on Air Force One to do any maintenance when it would land at the base. Attachment Deleted

These two guys were on the mantle above my Grandparents' fireplace ever since I could remember while growing up. When my Grandparents both passed away, I asked my Dad if I could have them.

I don't know how well you can see it in the photos, but this is a 1/72 model of a B-17G I build when I was a kid. My Dad was a waist gunner in these during the war and I was (and still am) a plane nut because of him. My Mom packed away all my models and kept them for 20 years until she could offload them on me again . When I built the current incarnation of my room, I decided to hang the bird from the cloud over the mix position. A wing and a prayer! PS How do you guys who do so get your images to be full size in the post?
