I'm about to reamp some DI recorded guitars using a reamp box . What level should the signal from the DAW to the guitar amp be ??

scum, what reamp box are you using? The standard direct lineout signal from your +4 daw should be changed automatically to instrument level when plugged into the reamper if it's doing it's job. unless i'm mis understanding your question?

I usually just pad it down until it stops clipping the amp input and don't even worry about a reamp box.

I got the LINE2AMP reamp box . Still haven't built it yet . The DI signal running out of the DAW , into the LINE2AMP box , I was wondering what db level should I send to the reamp box ?? you know like -20 dbs .......

The job of the reamp box is to get you back to a passive instrument impedance, just A/B between a similar guitar and the output from your daw to get them to matched volume levels by ear, then for all intents and purposes, the daw output will behave as if it was the guitar(minus feedback of course), and should sound more accurate, and less noisy than an impedance mismatch. You can even automate the output to get more drive and back off like a volume pot?, It's pretty fun to manipulate tones while the tune is playing with the track in context.
have fun scum!

Ahhhhhh , good idea . If I just keep comparing the guitar into the amp , then the daw into the amp, then guitar again ......back and forth , I'll be able to dial in the DAW's output level to match the guitar . Nice , thats easy ! I also want to compare the DI guitar track to see how much the reamping process degrades the guitar signal .

I used to have the radial reamp box. Man, I tried everything and could never get close to going straight into the amp. Sold it. Don't reamp anymore. The whole idea was so awesome to me at first and then completely let me down. I don't really need it anyway.

No, bubble is not burst, it works very well, and you can make a lot of interesting sounds with other sources, it's a great tool, i use it a lot...just not lately as it looks like a bomb went off in here lol!
I often track a bass line into my daw, and then reamp back into my svt so i can jam drums along with the track, good luck telling it from the real thing, you simply can't, it's fun as hell!!

Holy crap.....my bubble just dodged a bullet and is alive and well....... What , reamp to your bass amp so you can jam along on the drums !! That sounds like the coolest thing ever !!! I have to try that out , I need to build this Line2Amp and start messing around .
