Awe man this one hurts one of my true Hero's. Had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times.
He will be missed but we are blessed with all the great recordings he had a hand in.

Attending sessions with Doug improved my mixing a bunch and gave me a real grounding in what's possible in mastering beyond what I'd been doing at Motown. All of us who worked with him owe an incredible amount to that experience.
