I think I read this here somewhere...and I KNOW it's probably just paranoia, but I had about 4 crashes today using PT10...I haven't had crashes in months and months. I don't see how any funny business could be going on, unless 11.3 carried a little bug with it for PT10...but I have absolutely ZERO idea why I suffered that many crashes today. Nothing new.

I'd go through all your drives and repair disk permissions, restart and repair again. I've been getting more crashes on 10 since i upgraded to mavericksYosemite, and that seems to help. 10 is not supported on mavericks, so I also have that invisible plugin list thing happening, i'm gonna have to make the jump sooner than later, from what i understand PT11 is rock solid.?.?., then again so is logic.

10 is not supported on yosemite either but I have 10.3.8 running only have the little negative gui pop up thing happening.
I haven't read anywhere that 10 seems to be crippled by installing 11 ?
I had another test run of studio one, the other day got to admit it seemed pretty snappy. I am leaning towards Logic for the drumming, but still undecided. I'll wait til dec. adn see if Avid clears this mess up at all, but will probably not instal 12, if there is any uncertainty about it only running for 12 months and crippling previous version of PT that I own outright.
I currently have 10.3.8 and two different versions of 11 running.

I do a few things to prevent this. 1. My studio Mac Pro does not connect to the interwebs. 2. I'm using Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion), older but around the time of PT10 3. I have not upgraded PT10. Why fix what isn't broken?

I haven't had PT11 crash on me. At all. Bunch of other apps running at the same time even. On 10, if I had browswers open and stuff, I would sometimes run into issues. On 11, I've got Chrome open with 25 tabs, Safari with 10, iTunes, etc. all kicking around in the background and not running into problems. It's just been smooth sailing for me. 15" MBPr, 2GHz i7, 16GB RAM, running 10.9.5. Probably jinxing myself by saying it, but it's been smooth.
