of Sinsay's mic's, I don't know what will. JK can move this into the CV-4 thread if he wants but I wanted it to get some well deserved traction on the main sub-forum first. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. My daughter (lead vox on this track) is through the Miktek. Her friend (harmony) is through the Blackspade. They did this live together in the same room with no trickery. Absolutely no eq or anything really, lite compression on both. This is what the two mics sound like. The Miktek as you will hear is an expensive mic for not a lot of scratch. Couldn't be more satisfied. If your looking for a go to vocal mic, look no further. I'd say Sinsay is fixing to get busy. dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65640533/Somewhere%20Over%20The%20Rainbow%20(Jordan%20%26%20Mariah).wav

I'm just a little bit happier after that!! Gorgeous sounding vocals. No eq?

None. Worked with them both a few seconds before the take through the talkback for a good mic position. Amazing.

Good stuff!, very talented young ladies there! I hear a smooth quality on these clips, that is common to all the hi end condenser mics i've liked(mouth noise is a dead give away to my ears), with one caveat, on my rig i also hear a stridence in the s and t's that's not so good? nothing a little de essing cant fix? Is anyone else hearing this?
It's probably just me??? i have a hyper sensitivity to that it seems.

Wonderful, all the tracks sound good, and sound exciting. Energy translation is important to me when choosing mics. The Blackspade's a little essey, but that where the honey is. To me, it takes a C12 to get that without the ess.
On Jordan's friend's song, was she still on the Blackspade or was that the CV-4?
The CV-4 on Jordan's tracks sound straight pro, I could hear Eric Clapton using it, just a pinch laid back maybe?

ahhh, don't play minor 4 if they're singin' natural 6's lol
Was the distortion in the last A section how it was recorded, or were you using a limiter on the master bus when you exported?
what piano lib was that?

Cowboy sounds awesome, around 1:10 into the song when she holds it. Would that have been a trouble spot before the mod? It's awesome to hear it other than when I say "cardioid" a million times that it becomes a mumble. Okay laugh it up I know I mumble anyway. Lol sounds great!
