I don't know why drBill isn't over here on Real Gear , so I thought of starting a Petition thread . With enough signatures maybe he'll join .  Getting a bunch of signatures seemed to help save the rain-forests and to Stop Organ Harvesting in China , so maybe it will work with drBill . So sign your name if you'd like drBill to join Real Gear . SCUMBUM ............ |

I'm a big DrBill fan. I think he does great work, judging from the few clips I've heard, and he certainly provides a lot of good information and worthwhile discussion in his posts. Nonetheless, I have no desire to apply any pressure on him at all to join us over here. I'm guessing he has very well-established daily routines, given how busy he is and the amount of work-product he cranks out. I'm also guessing that he may be loath to add another internet forum to frequent. While I'm sure he'd enjoy the crowd here, I imagine he enjoys many of the relationships he's developed over there. Just some thoughts.

He complains rather loudly at GS about how bad that site is, always talking about how his threads are moderated or how they mysteriously disappear or the hidden motives of the mods. Strange that he sounds so unhappy there but won't come when there's an alternative. It's not like he can't visit both sites. You ask me, he just likes drama. I wouldn't beg anyone, either.

There have been several other prominent posters from there that have chosen not to participate for somewhat egotistical reasons...Oh well...
One thing I've learned from all of this is that people are strange...

I'd love to see drBill over here too. Add my name to the petition. It would probably help though if we didn't pre-judge anyone's motives for participating or not participating. Making this place feel inclusive will probably go a long way towards attracting all sorts of quality future members.
