I have been using both of these as my main effects for alot of things recently and I would love to hear about other peoples experience and what patches they dig. Doesn't matter if its hardware or software Ill try them out!!
I have been loving the A&M Chamber A. I also really like Studio A and large chamber from the M7.
515 and 519 as well as 423 are pretty much staples from the h3k for me. Yesterday I came across a preset called Cool Pres and once I was able to figure out how to dial out the delayed repeats it did a good job of making the sound I was working out wider and more in the front of the mix. I appreciated it for what it did!
Anyone have any experience programming the modfactory stuff on the H3k? Seems super intense and my limited experimentation were not that fruitful. Id like to dive in with a better game plan!

Welcome to RGO! I have been dreaming of a Bricasti System 1 for a while now. Alas, I have not had an opportunity to use one. Yet.

Have you had a chance to get your hands on the impulses that are floating around the web? Yes, I have. I have the Samplicity and True M7 packages, using Reverberate. But with no reference, I can't say how close they are to the real thing. I have always assumed that they are close, but no cigar. I want that ultimate "room in a box" thing at mix time, particularly since we record most instruments direct. I am debating my reverb options now. I just sold a piece of astronomy gear (one of my other fetishes), and I'm in the market for a System 1. Hopefully I can find one used or discounted in some way, but I know that they are hard to come by for resale.

I can only comment on my experience's but I have found the true M7 impulses to be a great resource. They sound alot like the box to my ears tone wise for sure. Just a little bit flatter and less 3d for sure. Its best at the room in a box quality that you bring up V2 brought some of the lex sizzle back but I rock a yamaha Rev 1 to compliment it usually.

Help me out here, how do I get both sides into a convo? Thanks

The impulses are great, but when I compared them in a mix, it took me about 15 seconds to poll out my checkbook and write a BIG check.
I can't help you on patches to try out rick. Every time I land on one I like it so much I tend to just stay there. At this rate it will take me 3 lifetimes to listen to all of them.... heh heh

I hadn't seen the True M7 impulses - thanks for the heads up!
I LOVE the "Wait's Room" preset. I've used it with the impulses mostly, but also got a chance to test out with a friend's HW unit...sounded the same...

Help me out here, how do I get both sides into a convo? Thanks I'll be home later tonight and will take a look. Unless I've fooled myself, Reverberate loads L/R without too much of a fuss, but it's not the most user-friendly gui, IMHO.

Well,,,,,it certainly cost me several thousand. Listen, I'm all about emotion, vibe, passion and mojo. The the real deal kicked the crap out of the impulses on every front. I really wish I could like the impulses as much, but they don't breath and have life like the real thing. IMO. Like a great picture of a sunset vs. standing in front of the sunset. My $.02

Right now I'm very tempted to just go ahead and buy new. The chance of finding a System 1 used is pretty small, I think.

.....Like a great picture of a sunset vs. standing in front of the sunset. My $.02 This is a great statement drbill. I think it applies to many things in pro audio these days. If I didn't already have a great signature, I would change it!

I too use Studio A as an overall room reverb to tighten the sound of the entire band in one space and use various chambers and plates when I need a sustained tail for particular instruments. I also use Studio B far if I want a room sound for drums. I am not as blown away by the Bricasti's quality vs the price. That being said, I'm holding onto it in the hope that one day I own a quality mixing board. Wish I could help you with the H3000. I hope to obtain the hardware at some point for lead vocal and backing vocal work. Have fun with the H3000!
Welcome to the board!

I use the small wooden room a lot for acoustic instruments. I also love the chambers. There are about 3 I really like and I can never decide. That is the only problem with the M7 is almost every patch sounds amazing. The only kind of lame in the M7 are the plates but even those are better then most.
Do you have a real plate yet Rick?

The only kind of lame in the M7 are the plates but even those are better then most. Lame because they don't sound like plates or because they're no good? If you just don't expect them to sound like a good EMT I think they're very useable.
