I lent a mic to a friend for a while... I got it back and was going over the PSU and decided to disassemble and do a good once over. Found a lot of dust (that looks like saw dust) all over the capsule. What is recommended to use to brush/blow get it off the capsule.

Very dry air, low as possible pressure. I'd try not to use "canned air" because it's not air, but chemicals, and can output the liquid which will freeze stuff, and possibly harm the capsule.
Other than that, I dunno.

since i've had the chance to mess with so many chinese capsules, i'm not as afraid as i used to be, i've taken some very fine bristled, soft artists paint brushes and dusted off some older caps to experiment, seems it works just fine to me, and i wouldn't hesitate to do it to my own stuff.

This is what I ended up doing... seems ok. Not sure what the stuff was. It's not in the pouch.. that was clean. Probably need to remind my friend to cover up the mics if he leaves them set.

Part of the power down procedure should be placing a protective bag over the headbasket to prevent dust from getting pulled onto the capsule. They are okay while in use, but when powered down become static charged dust magnets.

My concern was this dust was big particles looking like coarse sand paper dust.
