Very interesting. I am curious as to how it actually works, is the room dead to begin with? It doesn't look like it would be. Phase manipulation with the speaker clusters/mics?
In any case seems like it would be a really useful tool.

I have attended a couple of demos of concert hall systems like this, they all were impressively unreal! It just had that this is an effect for the sake of being an effect. It always felt like the DSP guy didn't understand speakers and the speaker guy only new the DSP guy from running in to him in the hall. If you moved your head the effect was completely different!
