This is exactly how teachers should be molding the minds of our youth and paving the way for musical talent and influence :

Yeah - I teach "World Percussion" to kids in this age range - but unfortunately not with $50,000+ worth of xylophones. I have Orff instruments, which have a limited range, and there are just a two chromatic 'spares' that come stock with them (F# and Bb). I'm looking to get a few full chromatic add-ons for the altos and then maybe be able to try something along these lines. Our school is small with only 45 kids in each grade and it only goes up to 8th grade, but we've had a drummer come through of that calibre. It happens.
Kids can do some amazing things with strong instruction and a creative curriculum. The kids in this video are extremely fortunate to have had this experience.

It's truly inspiring to see someone truly inspiring kids.
Greatness will come from this.
