We had a Cat 5 Cyclone hit north of us. Marcia.
Has been a tense few days..
In the end it was pretty harrowing for those people in the towns of Yeppon and Rockhampton. Where I live Bundaberg, is a couple of hundred miles south of Rockhampton (Rocky).
The cyclone hit land as Cat 5 and was around 2-3 as it went passed us, but it had gone inland, we got nothing more than a particularly windy night and some rain.
Bundaberg, had two MASSIVE flood incidents in 2013 and 2011.. both were "once in a lifetime" events.
Although I feel sorry for those that got smashed, I am so glad we were spared this time around. I am not sure, financially and emotionally the town could have taken it.
I had done all I could around the house and the studio... in preparation.. had I know it was going to end up a Cat 5 I would have skidaddled out of here.
Its funny... when faced with the prospect of everything blowing away.. I took with me....
MY Vintage Strat. My Favourite Acoustic. My U87 and my km 84
I would have taken the Delta but its too big 8)
I figured everything else I could replace.
glad its over.
cheers

Glad you made it through ok ! The aftermath of Katrina, Ike and Rita reminded me of a war zone.

Glad to here your ok wiz, Have a brother inlaw in Dauringa (sorry about the spelling). They just got a bit of wind and rain. Better than rocky with no power... It's interesting what to take if you have to bug out. I said to the Misses, I would take Her, the dogs, and one of my guitars, atlho not necessarily that order. She said "Thats ok I would get the dogs first 2"
