I saw on the weather.com that kentucky was gonna be like -6F, which just seems ridiculous for that part of the country. we'll be in the single digits here in NYC.

-1 here in Connecticut this morning. I have to work outside today. Helper played sick on the job yesterday and called in sick this morning. Oh, and I'm wiring an air conditioning unit today.....

Man, I should have stayed in yesterday. Worked six hours out in the cold. Went home with a bad sore throat and feels like the flu today.
Sucks.

It was 4 this morning up here, still only 10 with bright sunny skies. I've worked outdoors for the last 30 years straight and I can formally say this winter sucks the big one.

Minus 2 here last night --- the pipes coming out of the well pump froze... broke out the space heater and extension cords and had water flowing in an hour or so, then added more insulation to the pipes.
I don't remember it ever being in the negative numbers in NC.

Just tried to walk the dogs it's a friggin sheet of ice out there fell on my ass ! Rain and cold and KC don't mix saw at least 3 guys spin out trying to drive their big SUV at speed on ICE!
