Take some pictures, JK. Likely it'll look like a Christmas card. Jesse, did you shovel your roof, or is that heat leak melt before this storm?

I should have taken a pic of the ladder teetering on top of a snow bank. Been up there half a dozen times now using a claw hammer to chip away the ice too.

Better go get milk and bread. For some reason, folks think that's a must before a snow.

Geez Jcoutu1 - that looks like a nightmare.... Yikes!!!! Too much of a good thing, eh? heh heh
New Years Day here. Just a light 4" or so. That's about all we get. Maybe 2-3 times a winter, although this one might be all we get this year....

Not only are the predicted totals a pittance.. but your forecasts are boring. No ocean effect stuff, tidal concerns, or shifting wind directions from the different edges of the storm. Just an East-West swath. Boring I say. BOOOOOORRINGGG. 1-8"? OMG! Say it's not so! I'd come rushing to the rescue with my snow blower, but it can only manage about 2 mph and I wouldn't get there until late spring and I'll probably still be needing it. Of course by then it'll be 70 degrees down there. I'd laugh out loud but I'm too depressed.

It must be nice to be a weatherman..."1-8 inches?" That's like saying, "Really - we have no idea..."

3 Job's where its ok to be wrong. 1 Weather forecaster. No one expects you to be right so what does it matter.. 2 Parachute packer. "Look dude last week you packed this parachute and it dident work" simply does not happen you get no complaints. 3 Priest. What the hell should have pick the other group similar to the parachute packer..

uhh.. with the wind chill it's -30 here by the Hudson river in Manhattan and I have to walk the dog. Did I mention 50+ mph winds, and the filthy snow mounds lingering everywhere that I have to cross over are solid ice? Nashville looks like the Bahamas to me right now.

I thought I was going to miss this, I had to leave Nashville around 3pm and I'm at my house in FL (preparing to sell it) but I looked at the forecast and I think we've got more of a chance on wed/thurs and I'll be back in Nashville Late Tuesday night, so, looks like I didn't miss the blizzard after all lol.
I did see some flurries yesterday for about 5 mins.

54F and clear here in Phoenix Arizona.
I've always wondered why humans settle in cold weather climates. Seems unnatural to me.

We did get some solid ice. I am glad I made it home from Georgia before it hit. I did get to see svart for a couple of hours! I will be going down again soon and will get to check his place out next time. There are no salt or brine trucks to be had here in the south, so it makes for some treacherous driving even if you are (from Iowa) used to driving in it because no one else is. I am glad I have another 12 songs to mix and the fridge is full! Attachment Deleted

We had a very nice winter here in Southern California. We had one week of cold weather when it hit the upper 50's during Christmas week. It's been in the 80's here the last week. It's great beach weather if you can make it out here.
It's one of the reasons I live here, I don't do winter, you can have it.

This is why I no longer live in Massachusetts (grew up in Marshfield on the South Shore for you locals) this weekend I've been sitting in 84 degrees in Sunny SoCal vs. 84" of snow back home where my sister - for some crazy reason still lives. Don't miss it for a second. whack, where are you exactly? there's quite a few of us int the 1.5 hour circle, maybe a RGO westtogether is in order at some point?
