popmann - I finally hooked the ole snake up to the Hearback system and connected it analog as opposed to adat. Not that I didn't believe you, I have just been too lazy, but damn...you're right...the latency was there before even if I didn't hear it. My pitch was tons better singing harms today. Funny what your body senses...

I never even bothered plugging mine in adat. Straight to analog for me!

You're welcome. not sure whether the Hearback is an analog system, but certainly, if it is you would notice a difference. if it's not, and you do anyway, you're still welcome. ha....

Recording should always be easy.

Not only for latency, taking one can off and putting it behind your ear is good practice, especially for harmonies, doubling and stacking. Reminds your brain what's been recorded and what you're recording in the moment. If it's behind your ear on your head it won't leak into the vocal mic.
And as per Bob's advice, your pitch and dynamics are better if you hear your voice in the room.
