man, this is what you'd call a "crowded market"
In the past 2 years or so the compact interface market has exploded.
I just got a Tascam UH-7000 and an Audient iD22 is coming tomorrow. So that will be my introduction to this type. The price on both of them just went down.
I have to say for one person at a time recording, or mobile recording, this kind of solution seems ideal. More quality in a smaller price and size.
I'm still hanging on to my rack interfaces for multichannel recording and mixing. But it's exciting to try these too. I'm probably going to be pretty mobile this year.
