R.I.P to a great and very funny guy. I wish I had had the chance to meet him in person.

Totally unexpected! The man recorded a ton of incredible music. What a great life. 61 is too young though.

At 61 ?? Jesus that's like 48 today. Don't Fear The Reaper, we're all going to go, but you don't want to go before you have to. I'm older than Andy. Many of my contemporaries in the music business and in life have already fallen away. Looking back at history and imagining the future, I feel very fortunate to be alive in my (our) time. It's an exciting ride.

I was watching a bunch of Andy's interviews about a month ago, i'm a huge zep fan, he was a part of so much great music! But what i noticed the most when watching the interviews was just how cool the guy was.
RIP AJ

It makes it no less sad but, look at the date on that article... Andy Johns died in April of 2013 (says the same thing on Wikipedia) Still RIP - one of the legends

I was wondering if you guys realized it was a while ago? Had me scratching my head...
Either way, he left his mark, that's for sure.

Eddie Kramer is still alive and well too. He was promoting a line of guitar pedals at NAMM. He says 'Hi' to nobtwiddler. We're mutual friends.
