Ha. Wow, I didn't realize 70's SG's were that expensive. Nice piece. The late '70's SG's had that bridge for a while before going back to the old Tune-o-matic. That Blue Oyster Cult sticker is a collector's item now. I remember sticking them on maid's carts at motels on the road in the day. My original white SG was painted, I bought it new in '72 red, with a Gibson trem tailpiece, later converted to a stop tailpiece. It wound up with Bill Lawrence pickups, and ultimately was lost (left at a gig) in the '90's. Never knew what happened to it, you'd expect it to surface somewhere. The Gibson custom shop made me another one, about 8 years ago, not because Gibson liked me, but an employee was a fan and a friend. Here's a picture. I don't take this on the road, though.

I heard back from the seller, Kevin. He got the Blue Oyster Cult sticker when they were thrown out into the crowd at a show at Winterland in S.F. in the '70's.
BOC is playng a show in San Jose on March 13, he's going to come to that one. Says he's got some nifty '70's photos taken with a 35mm SLR back when we was fab.
He said he ruined a '66 SG by having it repainted white. Bunged the tone. That guitar of his on eBay looks pretty good actually.

Les didn't like the model and I don't think it was ever put into production. It had Gold 3 P.U.s and hardware. It even had her set list taped to the back with a lot of pictures and docs.

Cool. The three gold pickups was the only way you could get a white one for a long time.

there's a special kind of magic in the tone of a really good SG. The only one I kept is my 1975 Tobacco Sunburst with the tarback pickups. Quite the rich tone. There's a video of it on my 'Comfort Cove Sound' page on Facebook if you wanna check out the tone of it.
