Has anyone tried one out? Are they worth 1k? None of the local stores has one in stock so I can't try one out, but it appears to be what I'm looking for if the piano patches are authentic. kurzweil.com/product/sp4-8/ |

I would recommend you spend an extra $500 and move up to the Yamaha MOXF8. It's in another league as a workstation, but most importantly the acoustic piano sounds are superior and you can add the flash board and load up the piano sounds available from their CP1 flagship piano. You can also add piano samples from 3rd party developers should you want a Kawai acoustic patch etc.

It's more like $700 more but that's a nice Yamaha.

The action on it is great too. I paid $1500 for mine, I ordered through a small local dealer who didn't have it in stock but was willing to order it and just make $100 on the transaction.
