Posted this also in the "BOC Show at Namm Thread. Just got back. BOC Show. Waited an hour in line to get in for standing room only in the back of the room. Got in and Then stood there for an hour an a half watching the Peavey people eat and drink at a sit down dinner while I was starving and listening to how the world wouldn't be the same without Peavey equipment. Then they let the Press in, in front of us so I couldn't see and I was at the front of the ropes. B.Y.O. came on at 7:30 for a 5 song set. When did the Kick drum become the loudest lead instrument? Left for Leonard Skynard, I could stand any longer. There wasn't a list and Lori Garrobo couldn't get in. Now I have a mad friend. The whole Namm show was a zoo. Too many people could get near anything to try out and if you did, you couldn't hear anything with the open back headphones. Three days to go, I think I'll stay home.

Tons of great innovative products there. A telecaster backplate that makes the guitar have the 'weight' and sustain of a neck through body. Lots of useful stands for studio work. Drop-in replacement humbuckers with active EQs on them. More on that later. Blue had the Hummingbird microphone on full display... swivel head and all in an SDC. Looked cool. Gibson's new Bumblebee microphone thingees from the founders of Blue just lost me before they even got out of the gate... and they look even more stupid in person.
Telefunken were putting a push on their matched set of tube SDCs and they also have an FET version of it coming out too!
Warm Audio's EQ is downright fabulous! Bryce is so humble about it, it make ya sick. LOL... but go to the low-end, boost on 8, cut on 6 and it does that Pultec low-end tightening right. Y'all know what I'm sayin. The top end works magically on the 10K setting too. Is it perfect? Nothing is... but I would buy a pultec clone for the low-end tightening if they got it right, and Bryce has this one right. So, I'm still buying two of them.
Retro has its OP6 there. Great overdrive unit. Need I say more?

I met Bryce today. Nice fellow, he's doing a great thing for the audio community. I told him I had wa76 SN001, he said "no way," I said "way." "Where'd you get it," he asked, I said, "Zen Audio." He said, "Hmm."
Right near Warm was PSP, and I listened to their new Leslie cabinet software, it's stunning. Gonna buy it.

Yep Bryce is a great guy, and when it comes to vintage clones has the right idea. Had to Sell my pair of MC77s and some other stuff to pay the tax man, the prospect of a rack full of warms makes it a lot less painful and I can't wait to here the EQ

Really nice parts in this, pots are kinda cheap, could throw in some real good ones and have a very HQ piece. Great deal for pultec close.

Love that, great to put a face to the name. Wish I could have joined you guys. I gotta say, UAD has a great sense of fun. Their 1073 ads were great, so was the Culture Vulture. Now, if they'd only cough up a Thunderbolt card at company cost so the early adopters can afford get on board with the new developments, I'd send them a love letter.

Don=swag, Robert=high priest of the Bakelites, Tony=head of HUGE! Sinsay=late! View AttachmentWhat?? Sinsay late? Say it ain't so. Getting things organized there was like herding cats!!! LOL No pictures from last night though. Hope you were feeling better afterwards, Tony!! I have a slew of pics to post later. Meeting and chatting with Stevie Wonder was awe-inspiring. CLA was his usual self. I pronounced his last name wrong on purpose just to give him a poke. Dave Pensado was almost as warm and gentle and kind as Stevie Wonder was...Cole is just as awesome as I figured. Lots of great conversations and studio visits and new products to check out. Locknobs from Jersey was there and his new invention is awesome. I bought 12 of them!
