Another sad day for Nashville, Tn.
This was my facebook tribute to her this morning.
I am very sad to hear the passing of someone dear to me. When I got to Nashville, I was so fortunate to start playing the clubs on Lower Broadway right away and meeting people. My fortune continued when Jason Hutcheson (Tom T's bassist and harmony singer for many years along with being his right hand man) came into the bar and sat down and talked with me while we were on break. The following Friday, I was at my trial rehearsal for Tom T. Hall and the Storytellers. Ever since I had become a "Storyteller", the last "Storyteller" ever hired, I was part of their fold and will forever be grateful. Miss Dixie Hall fed me when I was barely getting by and Tom T made sure things were going ok for me, too. I am forever in their debt. R.I.P Miss Dixie, you were one of the finest human beings to ever walk the earth not to mention an equally talented songwriter and "Storyteller" yourself.

Randy Sorry for your and all of Nashvilles loss. Your story once again shows what a family old Nashville was. If only the music biz could get some of that back.

hey Randy,
Sorry for your loss and those who knew and loved her. This sounds like one of those genuine circle of life experiences where someone from a place of love, kindness , hope and respect helped bring you forward in life and planted that seed of reciprocity that blossums in you ! Pay it forward by sharing your music is the way to celebrate her !
