There was such little difference that I have no idea what they would be shooting or looking for regarding the choice of one mic over the other in that circumstance.

Yepp. It's pretty funny for us older guys maybe.
I guess they really meant it seriously as a guideline for young metal screamers to find out which mic they should test out or buy for their style. The selection of mics is somehow comparable, usable dynamic mics and the c214, that are moderately priced, so i can see what they intended with this...
Still comes off ridiculously, especially due to the song they used for this. I mean...."piss"? Really? :-D
