I'm very very excited... 2 VP28's and a Heritage 73JR in one week!
I have 8 channels of Great River MP-NV for drums , guitars, vox, bass etc... which tracks everything very well but I still want the bigger then life thing the real Neve and the Heritage very convincingly seem to deliver!
Maybe 2 more VP28's and one more Heritage JR and Im good on preamps forever almost....

Just curious, did you build all of jeff's stuff yourself? if so, why didn't you go for onlymeeeeee's NV73 instead? tonycamp posted about onlymeeee's blueface 1176 for 500 series kit, so check that thread if you're a DIYer :-)

I did build the vp28 myself but I need a super fat smooth preamp for female vox and the 73 is it. The only other preamp I want next is a super amazing Tube preamp.

Yeah - the VP28 and the Heritage are fantastic complements to one another. I've been toying with the idea of turning my Jr. in and upgrading to the Sr,...but I hear from a little birdie an EQ module might be coming early next year.

Tested it tonight. Great piece. Glad I let the BAE go for the 73jr.
Sang a quick verse of a song tonight. CV4 - heritage - VP28(line). Amazing. Will grab the JLM LA500 comp next week. Then i'm set for tracking again

lolo You hear a difference in the BAE and the Heritage? It has been a long time since I've owned a BAE 1073 - so I can't really speak to it...but I know both of the Heritage pieces I've owned have blown me away...

Let me say first both are great units. Both can get the job done for sure. The Bae had a bit of a low mid bump for me. The heritage as soon as I sang through it I was WOW. Top is a bit clearer and its still nice and thick. Less eq needed. Gonna let my wife sing some lines through it tonight to see how it sound on female Vox. Also passing through the vp28 after the heritage is even better. Just need a comp now. SOON
