2 smaller always seams easier to deal with acoustics wise, a 40 in is a big reflective surface!

I just switched to a single 32 inch monitor almost 4 feet from my face. Standard 1080p resolution. It seems to be a good balance between resolution and distance. I definitely wouldn't want a higher resolution from that distance unless the monitor was way bigger than 32 inches.

That is why I got the 40" ones. Since they are behind my monitors a bit, they aren't causes me audio translation issues. I sure like editing on them when I have a mountain to do!
