This looks interesting! Apora Audio launches Grandiose and Behemoth ā the future of tube gear Hi guys, It's with great pride that after several years of gear development we are launching our flagship products at the upcoming NAMM 2015 Show and we will be welcoming anyone interested to pass by our booth 1273 to say hi. If you attend the show, but don't have time to meet with us, not to worry you can appreciate our gear anyway: there will be a small display case in the centre of Hall A where we will be displaying our products in a custom made rack too... Look out for the Apora Logo! :-) See you there and enjoy! Total recall, but still all the way analog. This looks promising too, wonder how much it'll cost. The Behemoth (love that name) hope it's an EQ with total recall (as a Bettermaker).

Really cool.... but boy does that ever look expensive. I'm not judging a book by it's cover, but I'm sure I'm not alone in this thought. Mic pres for me aren't a big deal on having TR because I usually put that info in the session, but at mix time with eq's and compression this will be absolutely incredible. It's the future, someone has to develop a way to recall outboard with opening a session, too many requests for revisions these days for things they used to just handle in mastering 10 years ago, the label fellas and artist have gotten way to dependent on 2 things, recalling sessions, and tuning vocals. I cringe when I hear the artist say "you can just tune that right?" or "yeah the mix is great, might want to bring up that piano part before mastering, but right now we are cool" I'm like, can't I just do that now? "Well, I like it how it is right now, but it is something I could change my mind on after listening 75 times" I'm like, ehhh um ok sounds great, shoot the payment over so I can buy some bullets. Thinking about where we were 5 years ago and how far we've come with advancements like this, think about where we'll be in another 5 years now that this is starting to take root. Beautiful boxes though.

Hi guys, thanks for your interest in our products. You guessed right these are not cheap units :-) Anyway, hope the information below is of use to you... In essence our products are vacuum tube old-school gear where the backend audio signal path stages are 100% analogue hifi, but they are digitally controlled by the frontend systems. As such the units can be fully controlled from the Mac/PC, which means you can save and retrieve any setting any time. Protools integration might be possible in the future too. Our gear has got no audio potentiometers, instead we use dual latching relays to switch high quality Takman Japanese resistors for an outstanding sound quality and highest reliability possible (pot sound quality degrades with time even if they are fully potted due to natural mechanical action of the shaft). In addition we build in-house all of our audio transformers, inductors and film capacitors which ensures the quality you expect on the audio side. Our products come with an 8 year warranty as standard, however the PSU for example has been designed to last for 30+ years. As for the modern twist on classic gear we have some nice features like integrated voltage, current and temperature sensors which ensure a healthy system as well as a channel-dedicated Japanese VFD with user-friendly interface and custom logo display < NEAT. The whole of the enclosure is CNC'd in aluminium and very rugged, the 5mm front and rear panels are anodised to a high standard, all made in the UK. Worth mentioning re. the Pultec-style EQ unit is that the combination of 14 custom capacitors and 16 inductors in passive eq stages allows extremely flexible sound setup combinations. What this means is that some of the config frequencies offered although very similar allow for different combinations of inductor-capacitor values to be selected, which enhances flexibility of EQ sound.
