Yes scum, i have, it was cake, sounds great, and if you put the single coil pickup emulator in line with it, it'll give a strat vibe to a trumpet lol!

CooooooooL A strat vibe to trumpet solo sounds awesome ! I was always afraid of reamping because of the extra conversion process to the DI guitar track . But , I've been thinking of the possibilities of looping a guitar part and being able to mess with mic position and amp setting until its dialed in perfectly . Doing the same with Bass would be great too . Michael Wagner does a reamping service , where you send him your DI guitar track and he gets you a phat guitar sound . www.michaelwagener.com/html/realamp.html

I built a couple. They are a very easy build and work as advertised. The only warning I'd give is that they induce hum near an amp's transformer in a way my brand name Reamp box does not. I don't know if the boxes are not shielded as well, but a couple feet from an amp clears that right up.
I should note that the ones I built were not the new version of the enclosure.

The Edcor transformer in the Line 2 Amp is not shielded in a metal can. Here's the deal though, an Edcor PC-series transformer is under $10 where a mu-metal can shielded Jensen, Cinemag, Etc, is going to run $50-100. So I guess a few feet from the amp is alright in this case. Or DIY it totally with a better transformer.
I'm going to build a batch with the Edcors, using the Line 2 Amp as a starting point. I'll post stripboard layouts and schematics on my blog if anyone else is interested in saving a few bucks. I reverse-engineered the Line 2 Amp, it's a very simple device! The Jensen, Scott Dorsey, and NY Dave reamp schematics/articles were also really helpful. And of course the Line 2 Amp documentation on diyrecordingequipment.com
