I'm a little disappointed with my Adam A7X monitors. The mixes I'm getting aren't translating well on my home system, and vocals are too hot elsewhere, when they sound fine on the Adam's. I listened to the Presonus Sceptre 8 monitors today, and they were interesting. I preferred the vocal sound and imaging on the Focal Solo B6, but the Presonus had much better bass and held it's own against the Solo6 Be which cost $1,000 more.
Since the Presonus is in the same price range, it's possible I could sell the Adam's and buy the Scepter 8's when they're on sale without taking too much of a hit on the price difference.
Anyone used these yet?

I just got them and found they are not scooped nor brittle. Still breaking them in but sure seem like a great buy.

Thanks Heartfelt, I thought they were a good buy too. I really loved the vocal sound of the Focal Solo6 Be, and the imaging. The Presonus' sounded just a little more reserved in the vocal range, so I'm concerned I might mix the vocals too hot with them, as I've been doing with the Adams'. Unfortunately the Scepter 8's were on a middle shelf, and the Solo6 was on a top shelf, so it might have been an unfair comparison, since being on a middle shelf may have muffled the Sceptre's sound a little. Please post here again in a few days, I'd love to hear your impressions after they're broken in and your ears have learned them a bit more.

I can share that even with my previous set, as they were not mid forward either, I use lots of references to be sure I know what's going on in that range and always followup with my Avantones for level checks, especially with vocals and effects.

I have to figure out how to send my iTunes files over to my Apple TV, this would allow me to check mixes on my home system quickly. Right now, I have to make a CD to play it on my main system, which I know well and is great reference for me.

Turn home sharing on, on both Apple tv and computer. Simple as that.

Will try mulmany, thanks. For some reason that didn't work before, but I'll give it another shot tomorrow.

I heard a new speaker by Focal, the Alpha 80, and I'm impressed. It's in the same price range as the Presonus. I might seriously consider it over the Presonus. Unfortunately, Guitar Center removed them and replaced them with the Focal's, so I couldn't A-B them.
