I have read all the reviews but would like to hear from someone with experience with this EQ from this forum, if possible.
Strengths and weeknesses? I am looking for a musical and versatile piece, not a super clean surgical eq. Thought? Thanks.

unit7 you have one of these? No. I have the similar looking Zener, actually two of those. Got one first and really loved it and then found another, used at GS, for a really good price. So when I was about to test 2bus eqs a couple of years ago I went to KMR (UK) to test the Cartec, Curve Bender and the guys at KMR insisted I should try the Bettermaker too. With my experiences w the Zener I had very high expectations on the Curve Bender, but unfortunately was totally underwhelmed. I'm not sure if that particular unit was broke or something.. Sounded middy and when boosting high frequencies it was quite harsh. For what I'm doing, not at all what I wanted. Still, I don't want to judge too hard...could have been something wrong with that unit.. Btw, Bettermaker was ok. Cleaner than the Cartec, in a boring way imo. That was my first hands-on-experience w a Pultec clone. Instant love. Still is, though I mainly use the Pulses now.

Please get back here when you get to try it! True....it's highly unlikely that both channels would have identical issues. I am going to get one in and try it out...will definitely report back. Thanks again.
