Uhm... I think I liked the beat up panel better. I wonder how much less it would cost without the cosmetic work?

And I wish they'd talk a little about what caps and tubes they put in. I thought I saw some Sprague Atom and Solen...

Wow! how much is that bad boy worth? The last one that sold in the US was about a month ago for $45k. There was one on the German eBay last week for a touch over $49k. Dunno if it sold or not.

Uhm... I think I liked the beat up panel better. I wonder how much less it would cost without the cosmetic work? agreed, it's looks like a spanking new drip clone after wiping the face clean of it's earned character. I wonder how much it would cost for them to distress it back to original beat up condition?

Uhm... I think I liked the beat up panel better. I wonder how much less it would cost without the cosmetic work? .....I wonder how much it would cost for them to distress it back to original beat up condition? About another 55 years of being treated like it was some useless POS compressor. I like them either way.

Yes Jeff, don't get me wrong, I just think the battle scared face plate let you know her history and proud survival to a degree, I'd have refurbed all but the faceplate, and given her all the love she deserves! In that beat up state, it takes the "is that a clone?" out of the conversation. I will build me a drip clone someday i hope, those aint cheap either.

I think I remember hearing around 50 hours. I do know that VK charges $120 and hour for service.
