I built a couple of 184 18" coupled cavity subs. Driving them with a Behringer Inuke 6000 DSP. Used them in anger last weekend, hall around 200 people. Holey shake your teeth out batman. These things work great way to much for a venue of this size but that's what the volume nob is for (and i wasent referring to the engineer). Really tight bass and if someone puts their beer on the sub you can shake it off . Only the bass, drums and synth get to go thru the sub keeping it simple and clean. I was a little sceptical about using a inuke but so far (4 weeks) it has worked as advertised. The DSP works is easy to setup and plenty of horse power. Got the plans from Rog Mogale and they are a ripper. DIY total cost for 2 $960 bucks.
