the 500DD is insane! Really good and so far close to the original I am trying to get the 2 together in the same place for a shootout match and i'll post the files If i'm successful

Quick sidebar: I have an original DD here. It was always noisy and the LFO is broken (oscillates once and stops). Just never worked right. One day I cracked it open because it was just pissing me off and I thought to myself, I can make that! Took the opportunity to make it the way I wanted it and improve where I could. The conclusion of all that is that I never got around to fixing the stupid thing and it's still sitting on the floor. I look at it sometimes when I walk by and get motivated to get into it, but that wears off quickly.

I'm glad you did this. GS seems to look down on discussions of how great DIY gear can sound. It doesn't benefit them. It would be nice to have a forum that discusses the sounds and applications of DIY gear. Here is my link to add to your master list as well. www.collectivecases.com/ |

I have the 1084 eq from peter lazaro, as well as his 525. The 525 are unbealivable on drums. The addition of the attack is great, but you have to do a small mod (short one of the legs of the pot) to work properly www.lazpro.com |

diystompboxes.com ^^^ My peoples! A great community for dissecting FX designs, troubleshooting and all around noise making. In the last year or 2 they've been behind the development of several "Workalikes" for various FX - Electric Mistress style BBD flangers, a couple of "Harmonic Tremolo" (That Fender phasey trem they labeled Vibrato) units, they researched a Harmonic Percolator clone and even the infamous Ludwig Phase II (Think Sonic Youth's Diamond Sea - Yaw yaw yaw yaw). Oh and cloned all the Lovetone pedals too, of course. Yeah. They're pretty good.
