anyone have experience with this card? i'm looking at possibly purchasing 2 of these(32 I/O up to 192k...unless im mistaken?) the conversion that i'm probably going with is all AES, so i'm looking for guys in the know here, also very interested in how the software mixer functions for you.
thanx T
I should add that i was very much going down the road of PT HD, except their bullshit hardware/software lockout put me off completely, now my worthless $5k is going elsewhere, and to MUCH better custom built conversion.
I found this, seems pretty cool...

The conversion i'm working on having built is AES 16 AD, 32 DA, but in the short term, i need to figure out the interface cards for connectivity/compatibility purposes.

FWIW I use a PC and have 2 RME AES 32 PCIe cards that I use with two Aurora 16's for 32 ins and outs. The RME cards only use two actual pcie slots for , but you have to buy 2 additional expansion cards which connect ribbon cables. You need 4 RME (Tascam) to Lynx (Yamaha Pinout) cables. I bought them from Redco. It sounds good and its stable. So, it was a good investment.
I use the Aurora 16's clock as the master clock and everything is stable. Totalmix-RME's mixer- is a bit difficult to learn but once you understand it it's easy to use for customizing cue mixes to the musicians and for control room balances. For Cubase and other DAW software (except Pro Tools) you can use ASIO Direct Monitoring, which is nice.

I was going to go RME AES 32's, but they're $1,200 each! i can get into 32 I/O- 2x lynx aes16's for $1k, seems like the mixer is solid also? it'll save me $1k+!

I paid around $770.00 per RME AES 32's, but that was part of a package deal.

I've got the AES16e with my Aurora 16. It's been solid and sound good. Is there anything you want to know in particular? It may be up for sale soon since I also have an AES 16 non-e that works just fine in my system. Haven't decided yet.

Haven't decided yet. you answered one with the "solid performance" remark, i'm curious too the mixer, is it pretty intuitive? i'm more than likely gonna set it and forget it, but if it's nice and easy, maybe i could dig in a little more without it being a distraction? lord knows i have enough of those just being me lol thanx Ben
