I think none ? pro tools expert had some freq charts showing the bands for air eq and they were different shapes/profiles; kind of a rounded plateau etc. Revival sounds more like an exciter to me ?

Looks interesting but I-lok. I stopped buying Plugs with hardware dongle for a good reason.
I can understand that they want to protect their work. But not with an restrictive policy like I-lok.
Good old online installation and registering never let me down.

Good old online installation and registering never let me down. I can understand why you don't want I-lok, especially if you run a commercial studio that could be seriously damaged by one of the problems it seems to have on a semi-regular basis. I've been lucky, never had a problem, and I have the following plugs that use it: Kush Clariphonic, UBK-1, Pusher Melodyne Editor 2, Studio 3 Slate FG-X, VBC, VCC, VTM, VMR Sound Toys Native Effects UVI Grand Piano Model D Eventide UltraChannel Native, UltraReverb Exponential Audio PhoenixVerb, R2 Good old online installation and registering has let me down every time I've changed systems or hard drives. Hours of registering, as opposed to just plugging in the I-lok. And the few times I've needed to use some of my plugs in a different system, I-lok has been terrific. I wish all plugins would provide an I-lok option.

We all know that some hate it and some love it, like everything else in life. Back to AirEQ. Isn't Eiosis Fabrice's company? He does some incredible things at Slate. Just my humble opinion, of course, but...

Be interested how some find this on the buss..... Fabrice has a very rare talent of being able to make plugins feel so musical and real. This seems like it's his baby, his mind completely, I have no doubts it will sound great, but I'd love to know how some find this on the buss. I could demo it I suppose, but I've got a busy week so I doubt I'd have any time to put it through it's paces. I'd love feedback from those how are using it, specifically on the mixbuss and guitar buss.

I had kind of poo poo'd this because IMHO it was a little clunky and just seemed superfluous...but I used it because I didn't have anything else when tracking in PT11 and man, it IS a sweet sounding EQ. I'm one of those that kind've wonders if any of these EQ's actually sound ANY different...Still don't know if that's true, but it certainly sounded good lifting the top of my acoustic last night. Moreso than others I've used in the past.

Yes its all fabrice, personally i find it to quickly and easily tweak things in an effective way
It sounds clean to me and is supposed to manage phase better than most other digital pres
Certainly recommend demo
Re:ilok with respect, the current ilok manager works flawlessly and I was up and running air in 5 minutes. One can purchase zdt insurance is you wish to minimize possible downtime. Also there are often ilok deals embedded in plug purchases for free. I just got a new one from Slate.
Also, ilok reached out to early adopters burned in its last system migration and provided a free ilok2, a year of zdt for free and some other small goodies.
People may or may not like dongles but our plugs and authorizations reside somewhere so we kind of have formal and informal dongles. I believe you can host your ilok authorizations in your computer if you want but if not a laptop than mobility is compromised.
I am liking air !

mrholmes well philosophically I agree with you! i am not a fan of ilok but see it as an arguably necessary evil , back to less hot more cool digital air chat !
