I have just sort of re-fallen in love with my older early 1990's TLAudio P series valve preamp/di 2 x channel unit. I tried it strapped to a 1176 and la2 and it just worked for vocals. It's my only tube preamp after I sold the Manley and I really could not hear too much difference between the Manley and this. Is one of the there better units? I mean I could tell straight away when I bought one of the Ivory
5000 series compressor that that unit was pretty nasty piece of year. This one keeps impressing e over the years . I see they don't sell for much and wonder whether My one was a just a good one out of the pack.
