lap top to DAC connections??

hey fella's, so my brother picked up a Black lion/white sparrow DAC for his home audiophile listening rig by my suggestion, of course now it's coming back to bite me, i have no idea how he should hook this bad boy up?? The bla sparrow has AES, coax and s/pdif inputs, what connection should i tell him to use from the lap top(which has none of the aforementioned)? any lossless adapters?, or should he get a pc tower and a pcie card?? Anyone know of an alternative??

I feel like an idiot for not knowing what to tell him!
