+1. I dig the analyzer, and the blend fader is particularly useful.

How does Slate not have have this guy locked into a non-compete contract? I've been waiting a year for AAX VCC and the lead programmer is off doing his own project. Raw deal IMO.

Got to be honest, Jesse, I recently revisited Waves NLS and J37 and, I gotta' say, I'm actually digging them more than VCC and VTM...the Neve and RC Tube are the only VCC emulations I find useful on occasion...still using VBC regularly though. Obviously, only my $0.02 and YMMV. Also looking forward to demoing VMR. Anyway, apologies for the digression...

My understanding is the fabrice and steven are partners, not that F is Slate's employee
I believe that F's incolvement in eiosis predates his involvement with slate
Those who have been waiting for "air", would probably argue that Slate work has significantly delayed Air's release.
henge: early days but I think it is one of the best: precise, subtle snd clean digital eq's I have used. It seems easily achieve small changes that I hear in my head easily
programming speak, F state's air has very precise phase characteristics which ( correct if I am wrong), is the fundemenatal negative artifact of eq due to smearing snd delay
So, the individual bands seem very precise and clean and the earth and air functions allow you to sculpt the top of the curve innovatively and you have the sliders for even more possibilities
honestly, I just recommend people try the demo and consider purchasing while on sale

He's not their lead programmer. Fabrice is the creator of their algorithms. Slate has a team of programmers that handle things beyond that. Plus, I'm sure the contract between Slate and Fabrice allows him plenty of freedom to work on his Eiosis tools. Glad he got the EQ finished up and VERY happy to hear how good it sounds. At the introductory price it's a no-brainer to anyone looking for a good all around EQ. It's precise as many newer digital EQs are, but much more musical than a lot I've tried. It's really easy to get there with only a light touch.

I think Steve actually sent out an email or something about that EQ. If I'm Slate I want Fabrice in my back pocket, Steve may know some code, but there's not many that understand algo's like Fabrice.

Damn...gotta say, the Eiosis EQ really did some things on the bottom end with bass that was cool.

I think I tend to go for things that are easy to use. I've never liked plugin EQ's that make you twist three separate knobs...That's fine for hardware, but with a mouse, it's a PITA to me. I love the Fabfilter interface and honestly, I don't know if any of these EQ's are any different from the others. I do have to say that I dialed in a nice bass sound with this one really quickly, though.
I also tried the Massenburg...really, really clean nice eq...Is it any better than FF? I have no idea.
