Replaced all the SMT electros with some panasonic FM's and increased the values from 47uf to 100f and also added a 300pf polystyrene cap to the output to try and tame some of the harshness the mic had because of it being a $100 mic. I was pretty surprised on how the mic sounds, much tighter and I can hear some of the harshness got shelved by a few db. I'd really love to hear what this would sound like on a kick, like what you'd do with a FET 47. I never use the damn thing, had a few extra parts and figured what the hell.
I love the world of DIY, nothing like having nothing to lose and coming out happy just to cure an hour of boredom!

The perception 100 LOL. I bought it like 3 years ago when MF was having a sale for like 60 bucks I think, it's only a $100 mic anyways.

Nice one. I was planning modding my P220, too. I plan replace the capsule with a k47 type and replacing the coupling caps. Can you take a picture of the inside. You replaced the smt caps? I've never worked with surface mount component.
