I have pulled the trigger on my threat to track some stuff in Logic. I already built the drums with Logic Drummer and it turned out pretty good...I could have done it a lot faster if I'd just played it myself, but I wouldn't have gotten as many differing and cool fills. Is there any trick to figuring out the presets or do you just have to try out different "drummers," find the one you like, select a preset that resembles what you're going for and then roll with that? I started with one of the rock drummers and just kind of went with it. Also, not sure the sounds are as good as some of the other programs, but since I used the "producer" version, I can tweak each drum myself. Any tips or tricks?

first trick, create a track that you will use as your kick drum guide.. maybe its the bass line, or you create some audio (tapping on a microphone or whatever) and then set logic drummer to follow that as the kick pattern.
cheers
