I updated my iPhone to IOS 8.
I started one of my songs playing from my last EP on my iMac.
spoke to my phone
"Hey Siri, what song is this?"
Siri listened..
then told me the song was
"Aching Bones by Peter Knight"
and listed my Artwork from iTunes and a buy button...
seriously, I am flabbergasted.
This is science fiction shit.
cheers

That's no biggie, ask her how long your pee pee is, if she answers that correctly, then you should start to worry, if she says 9+ inches, say "thankyou, feel free to share that info with who ever you want sweetheart"8)

Me thinks you're easily amused if the phone was playing the tagged file.
You've got NO idea what big brother is collecting. What one knows about you from collecting and analyzing web history....between FB and Google....big brother has never been so "in the know".

I personally couldn't care less who looks at my info. I don't do anything worth looking at anyway. If they are interested in mine and my wife's texts about what we are having for supper, let em knock theirselves out.

It really is amazing tech--thought, not new. Just gotten the "siri touch". I remember the night I got it trying to play "stump the phone"....I could....but, I really had to try. It would even pick up live bits and recognize it was the live recording of whatever....

If they are interested in mine and my wife's texts about what we are having for supper, let em knock theirselves out. That's fine, but that's not the point. The point is that they do this stuff at all. I've got nothing to hide too, but I still detest big brother spying on me without me knowing it or without me wanting it. That has got to stop. I really don't get it when people say, 'I don't care, I've got nothing to hide'. Don't they understand that the fact that governments collect data and spy on citizens in the first place is dangerous and evil, regardless of what said citizens got to hide or not???

We will have to agree to disagree on this one Levon. It just doesn't bother me at all.

Levon's right on here IMO, It's not about now, it's about the right to privacy and "what if", what if our gov ever goes "bad"?(u know, like every gov in world history lol), absolute knowledge of U mixed with Ill intent=ur screwed! In these conditions, the British traitor/American hero Paul Revere would have been sniped before ever mounting his horse, us Americans have an interesting understanding of freedom, U'll here the staunchest of libertarians say things like above, and liberals saying "no way", it shows how confused and miss informed folks are. I believe the authors of our declaration would be rolling over in their graves if they heard about NSA surveillance and the "patriot act", just sayin...

Well, the founders of our country and the constitution only had local real estate to worry about when they initially wrote our laws. Global interaction never entered their minds because the only possible way for global interaction then was from a boat, which is pretty easy to spot. So when they wrote the constitution, it was concerning nosy neighbors who might try and take liberties on our properties uninvited.
We now live on a global scale via communications. Here is a fair question: can our laws today be held to the same standard as the horse and buggy days or should we make our laws to fit our current situation?
If my neighbors are up to no good and are in concert with those who mean harm to me or my family, I say fuck their rights. They should be found out before they are able to do harm. I have nothing to hide. Do they??? If so, I can understand why they would want to keep their business private. Darkness hates light and wants to stay hidden, I get it.

My wife's father was Army intel in Poland, he would talk to bugs in the wall, the house keeper would basically tell them they need to be out at such and such time so they could change the bugs. My father in law would tell his tail where they were going so they didn't get lost. We have it pretty easy.

Yes, I agree we disagree, even if you got a point here. Living in Germany with all its history (hey that guy was Austrian!) and being born in East Germany with its well-documented criminal government (my parents got us out in 1958, thank God), I'm probably a bit more sensitive to Big Brother's methods. But, we both share a love for music, bro, and that's something, right? Lemme buy you a beer...
