Price is right, but I already have Soundtoys Echoboy. Would this be redundant or does it cover ground that Echoboy doesn't?

jcoutu1 - not redundant at all. 2 different sounding delays. Echoboy is smoother and thicker but I find Waves more responsive (quicker/more precise?). Don't know if it's because Echoboy has a more tape delay quality and h delay is more digital delay sounding? I suck at describing sounds but I can tell you that there is definitely a difference between the two and they're both very good.

I use H Delay all the time. For $29 it's a no brainer.

Echoboy has a million (early) digital delay saturation models.
It's (the Waves) a colorful delay, if you don't have one for $30...can't beat that price, right? If you own Echoboy, it's utterly redundant, IMO.

Timeless from Fabfilter is pretty damn cool.

I like Timeless, H-Delay and Echoboy, it seems like I'd use them interchangeably by mood, yes they are different, all really good. An abundance of delay riches.
Audio Damage DubStation is really cool too, and it's always low priced. It kind of does that tape echo thing when you crank the feedback.
In a similar vein the D16 and Valhalla reverbs that have feedback on them can get pretty wild and spacey too, beyond normal reverb sounds and sort of into delay territory.

I wish Sean Costello would do a delay...

I guess he did Ubermod, but that's more of a modulation, right? Be awesome to have a fully developed Delay with his take on it.

i tend to use the H-delay, the only thing that drives me nutz about it is the "analog" button (translation=noise) always needs to be shut off, who came up with that? does anyone actually use it?
