As a sister thread to the other one about work, what do you do besides work?
I'm attempting to restore a 67 mercury cougar. It was my first car (in the 90's not the 60's!) and it's been sitting for years. After I bought my house a few years ago I finally had a place I could work on it and it came out of storage. I've been slowly fixing things on it, but as it goes with any old thing, once I peel a layer off, I find more to fix underneath, so it's taken me 2x longer and 2x the cost so far.
I also do a lot of metal/woodworking. I'm also fixing my house up a little at a time. I just got a shipment of new windows to put in the house.
As you know with some of my other threads, I also attempt to play and write music as well.

Deep obsession with the Tiny House Movement. www.thetinylife.com gawking at shit on www.apartmenttherapy.com and doing DIY stuff from www.homemade-modern.comStudying Comptia A+ and Network+ I took my first level of Sign Language last year, planned to go further but forgot everything. I took a web design course this year to touch up and refine the skills in that field I already had, it can be frustrating keeping up with how fast everything changes there. I'm a TV freak, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Law and Order, Corner Gas, Simpsons and South Park. I try to be on top of all those at all times. I play beer league hockey (currently working out like crazy getting ready for this season) and follow that religiously too. I try to have at least one bonfire a week. I try to get through a book every month, this month it's Chuck Klosterman's I Wear The Black Hat (you guys should give his work a go, music and sports essays with a great viewpoint). I play Drums, Guitar and Sing so I try to practice but something inevitably slips. My day job is working one on one with Autistic kids, I've been doing it since I was 19. I coached hockey for two years, it wore me out with everything else going on. I'm planning on see how much harder I can push myself this school year. See what can be accomplished. I can't cook for shit. I want to learn how to do that better, particularly sushi.

I'm a musician who plays drums and bass. My most recent project was playing drums and managing a pop cover band. We mainly played female led pop and dance songs a la Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Pitbull, but also some 80's and 90's standards...Journey, ac/dc, Montell Jordan, etc.
I also play first base and left center on a mens softball team. Dabble in hockey too.
Big Bruins and Patriots fan, moderate Sox fan, and root for the Celtics.
Also married with an 8 week old, which takes up the bulk of my free time.

Beside my love for writing, playing drums, bass, guitar and recording, I'm a contractor in southern cali, I do a lot of custom metal and wood work(hey svart!), i was doing a frame off build of a 1974 ford bronco, until the costs flew completely out of control!!(hey svart!), i decided the recording studio was my priority and let it go. I'm completely hooked on DIY audio, I don't eat sugar, and i try to workout. life is good

My day job is working one on one with Autistic kids, I've been doing it since I was 19. That's awesome. My mother teaches Autistic children ages 5-10. She loves it.

Land Surveyor 28+ years for my job. Besides work I live for music, avid firearms collector and love target shooting. I hunt sometimes but that requires getting up too early

If I'm not playing, recording, mixing, practicing or reading about Music I'm probably drinking. Not even joking. I am also learning Japanese, and I'm a fairly prolific reader (I read Crime And Punishment in a week).
I did download all of the seasons of King Of The Hill. I'm halfway through season 6 I'll tell you what hyuh hyuh hyuh. Propane.
