Try it on all of your close miced drums first. Then, try a mono acoustic using your 84 and your voice through your 47 all live and make them out of phase just for a test. Use the plug on them and you will be amazed. R oooooh this excites me... I have a a U87 (wish I had a 47 8) ) and I would love if I could improve the phase relationship between it and the KM84 when miking myself singing and playing at same time...that would be killer.. will give it a go and report back thanks bud cheers Wiz

It will put a big smile on your face! I use it a lot when multi micing acoustic instruments. I challenge myself to get it s close as I can and use it to put it in perfect phase.

I agree, Auto Align is another killer. I use it on guitars that are recorded through two different amps. It gets them real tight and punchy. Like Randy says, it works a charm on any multi-miced sources. Also, if you mult bass tracks and process them differently, Auto Align gets them tight. The fact that it also checks for phase issues is another big plus.

I've tried a lot of ways of using Auto Align on drums and I find that the way the Sound Radix guys suggest is (to me) the best. Align your OH to your snare, then align everything else to your OH. Really solidifies the sound of the kit.
