What is "Zodiac Platinum Class"?
What is "Trinity class"?
What is "Voltikus class"?
This reads like a Harvard law review of the graduating class.
From what I can garner from the flavorful language is this is a BurrBrown PCM1794 DAC in a dual config with a BurrBrown PCM4222 ADC, sort of like a Ross Martin unit with a fancier box.
Do they use National LME49725 opamps like the multichannel unit?

Too much hype not enough nutz and Boltz info, I'm basing that off of reading about the mp32 in which they tell u nothing about it other than "it's wonderful"... Mehhh
I'm hoping against hope that someone has something at AES that's 32 channels of realitively affordable I/o conversion with great specs, the Orion I/O is killer, but the sound is simply choked off. There is a quality hole in the market between $3,000 and $7,000, wth? I'm discouraged with avid, and I'm not giving apogee $9,000 for 32 ch of conversion that's not as good as my bla fm 002 for god sake. I fear another year of crickets coming forth on this.

I would probably just get a Ross Martin front and back end instead...but aren't we going on 7 months and counting for cowboycoalminer 's?

Last month I took advantage of the chance to listen to a couple of DA units during VK's demo bonanza - I mainly wanted to hear the Benchmark DAC-2 as I loved my DAC -1.
Ryan suggested I give a listen to the Antelope Zodiac.
It was an immediate buy. Not too flattering, but pleasing. Crazy detailed - the best way I can describe it is - instead of just hearing something and thinking "I need to cut some," I can really hear precisely where - not so much boosting and scanning - just going right at it - which is impressive, because I'm just not that good.
Most importantly, it succeeds where my DAC-1 did in that I'm getting good translation.
I found myself listening to old favorites just to hear it in high fidelity - I hadn't done that with a piece of gear in years.
At any rate, I'm duly impressed. This seems like killer value - if one is allowed to say that about something an iMac does for free.
