Sounds like something along the lines of the Quartet, but with T-Bolt. Maybe also with some onboard DSP - effects, amp modeling, etc, and possibly DAW integration similar to UAD.

Big hopes for this as this might be in the wheelhouse for me now that I sold the Omni.

Not sure it means anything, but they mention the preamp and the built-in mic in the singular sense.. I expect it's the Apogee Mono.. They already have a duet and a quartet, but the only single device they have is the Jam.. which lacks any features.

My guess and just a guess is something that replaces ensamble. With TB and USB with PT Windows support.

Interface with windows support will be pretty cool

Looking at the pics it would appear to be some sort of guitar modeler/interface and not a response to the Apollo…but tomorrow only knows.

I thought similar, its black, so its something to do with pro tools, all apogee stuff always seems to be majority , silver.
Looks like to me a replacement idea for Eleven.
I would love it if its a step between quartet and symphony...

8 mic pres. A drum recorders dream. But it will be interesting to see how this shakes out. Just because the converter is the same, doesn't mean they will sound the same. The analog path to and from makes a big difference.

I really had hopes that it was a partnership with Avid and continue the Eleven Rack/HDX idea of running their plugins off of DSP. Why isn't anybody doing this (besides universal audio? ) From and engineering standpoint, is it impossible to run VST/AU plugins off of external DSP?
