God that's weak. That's the problem with writing and tracking alone. It's never as good as when other talented people are involved in the process. Even if you write something (piano&vocal) and bring it in to a session it winds up much better with the feedback of others and the contribution of playing it live together.
This sounds like Lenny used some sample CDs and laid down a drum part and some guitar parts (direct) at home, total Gearslutz. This is the WORST part of the decimation of the record business, more and more artists will write alone like a lot of weekend warriors and I don't care who you are, it's obvious and it's not going to produce high quality art and music. We still need the best people to be making the best records. This is underwhelming.

I don't have iTunes but I listened to Sex and The Chamber on Youtube, definite Duran Duran flavor to it. It's an improvement over the pop I've been hearing.

Hrmpf. I liked him for his rock flavour quite some time. But, ...but,...this? OK, it most likely will get radioplay. I don't listen to radio anymore on purpose since more than 20 yrs.....

i just watched/listened to a video called chamber, song was ok i guess, but 2 things struck me. what a colossal ego this guy has, and how weak his vocal phrasing is. It seems to have little to do with music, and lots to do with being, or wanting to be a star.

His music is so driven by his ego or his impression he wants people to believe about him that I don't think it translates well. I feel like he cheats himself of actually being a real artists. I saw him perform on some morning show a few days ago for the new record and it was super lame. The song was really weak. The vocal melodies and phrasing sounded very weak. No reason to listen to it. I can't remember a thing about the actual song. His band was sweet!
I did love the album FIVE. After that no thanks.
