I've been using Slate VBC red (1-3db at most) with good results, but I wonder what I might be missing with some nice hardware. I've got my eye on the SB4000 or SB4001. It seems like the parts cost of the SB4000 would rival a second hand SB4001 (although hard to find). And the SB4001 has more features if I recall. Anyone here built an SB4000?
