Apparently Boston bars are opening in the morning for the game.

I wonder if their pouring license lets them serve that early.

What do you guys think of the uni's? I love Canada's black jersey! I think Canada needs to stop putting that gold trim on their jerseys. I know it's subtle but if I was in a tournament and an opposing team had gold on their jersey it would fire me up. Sure you can say Canada has won the most but that's a very arrogant approach and if gold is actually your country's color then that's fine but last I checked ours are red and white. Go Sweden. They gave us Ikea.

These are nhl refs right? No. IIHF sanctioned refs. IIHF has some different rules than the NHL. One of them is you cannot win a faceoff by kicking the puck, yet somehow you can pass with your feet. If the Olympics are truly an amateur sporting event these athletes have no business being in Sochi. The NHL should start hosting a world cup of hockey every two years and do it on NHL sized ice, with NHL rules. The revenue won't hurt them either if they want to keep teams in deserts. Sorry Matt.

So one North american derby and one Scandinavian on Friday, Sweden-Finland. The fins always wants to kick our nuts and plays a notch up because they hate being treated as the smaller sibling. USA looks mighty strong. I believe they'll grab the gold...
USA-Canada should be mid day around 12 in North America

Haven't seen the Swedes but the Finns really believe in their system from what I read. Judging by the way Canada's played I think USA takes it. Unless our forwards break out of their slump we'll have a hard time beating the USA. What team Canada has is a killer defence and great goaltending.

I couldn't watch the game because of work, but I guess it went the way it usually does! Looks like we play Finland for the Bronze.

I have the US/CAN game recorded to watch when I get a chance. Fins are kicking ass right now. Selanne is a beast. Always liked that guy. Ollie and Jussi Jokinnen too...like their games. At this point I'm rooting for a Rask shutout!

That's great. I think I have a Selanne autographed picture at my parents house that I think I got when I was a kid.
