I'm watching it too, we got it back rather quickly! Detroit is good but it's easy to hem them in when they're short handed. They keep the same formation instead of rotating it.

MILBURY was a goon in his time with the Bruins racking up over 200 PIMS in a season on two occasions and frequently broke the 100 PIM mark. You don't get those kinds of minutes without being a goon.
YZERMAN: Had a Hall Of Fame worthy career being (at the time) the youngest captain to ever play winning multiple cups and did so with Bob Probert and Daren Mccarty riding shotgun the whole way. His comments stating fighting has no place in the game are hypocritical and borderline disrespectful to the players that played no small role in making his career what it was. Obviously his tune has changed given Steven Stamkos is a valuable and considerably unprotected asset but how dumb does he think fans are?
Pre-lockout that hit on Erikkson would have been perfectly legal. The hypocrisy that is Brendan Shanahan policing the game in a way that contradicts his stellar play sickens me. Nobody stepped in to protect Eric Lindros and nobody should be stepping in now. There's no way a Boston fan can complain about this, Boston is the model of this kind of play and I like it. It's a big reason I cheer for them behind the Leafs but it goes both ways. If I'm Julien I put Lucic, Hornton, Thornton, Chara and Mcquaid out the next shift and wink at the other bench and that should be allowed too.

I don't recall any Bruins targeting the head except for McSorely when he slashed Brashear. Milbury was a big tough defenseman, that fought, enforced, played good solid defense, and scored goals. John Scott is a predator, Milbury never played like that. The league has changed and their comments reflect on the current status of the league NOT when Lindros played. and certainly not when Milbury played. Remember, Dave Schultz of Flyers fame wrote a book against violence after he retired. As the league evolves so do opinions. Like it or not things are different than they used to be.
