there is an upgrade path and if you just bought looks like deep deep discount: " Pro-Q 2 is twice as CPU efficient as Pro-Q 1! Existing users can upgrade with a discount between 50 and 65%, depending on the products they already own. Plus there will be a grace period for people who purchased Pro-Q recently :-) Floris (FabFilter) - Aug 24, 2014'
I bought one of their pacs a while back: really like ff: some of the best soundwise and personally I think the best with features and gui !

I always think that annoucer guy sounds like he has diarrhea. He does Camel Audio Alchemy videos too.
This looks really good. And thanks for videos like this to show how to actually use the features!

Pretty cool. Interesting about the natural phase mode. Anyone, how does filter phase response rate in terms of importance to you? Can you attribute differences in phase response as the reason some filters sound better or worse than others?

Really looks great. Pro-Q is my current go-to eq and it looks like this will be taking over when funds permit.

Best digital tools in the business IMO. Another winner here. I believe it, you convinced me of this a while back, and although i haven't had a chance to use it a lot, i'm totally digging my experience with it so far! My waves linear phase has not been plugged in a single time since the FF purchase. The spectrum capture and auto makeup gain on this next version will make an already great thing, that much greater. also, the full screen option is killer as well.

This announcement came as a complete surprise, I've always thought that the Q was as good as it gets. I'll be upgrading this Thursday. I try not to use the same EQ on every track, but it is damn hard to NOT use the Pro-Q, it's so clean sounding and intuitive to use. That and the Pro-C: they are go-to plugs for me, on every mix.

Pretty cool. Interesting about the natural phase mode. Anyone, how does filter phase response rate in terms of importance to you? Can you attribute differences in phase response as the reason some filters sound better or worse than others? I'm one of those nut cases that is obsessed with keeping phase relationships as close to the original tracking as possible, especially on multi mic captures, i feel like every little smear removes clarity and power. I'm moving primarily OTB/hybrid, and i'll be using the FF HP/LP filters in linear phase mode to avoid the bump and ringing, in the cases where i want that color, i will eventually be using daneurloo's hardware version of the Harrison Ford filters rig(8 channels of harrison32 filter clones). I can't wait to try the natural phase parameter on this new version?

Anyone get it yet? Experiences? Bought it first day, perhaps placebo but I had thought even the utube video sounded cleaner than original, full screen in 27 inch screen is very interesting, you can literally see the kick bump and the low bass, if your ears not great open keyboard to identify exact freq Drop it on 2 buss and click through presets: its impressive: one of the best thought out gui's i think The trial is free easy download and install I just bought one of ff's packs on sale a while ago: very happy with them, my fav deesser !

well, i'm mildly disappointed, i bought proQ1 at the beginning of may, and now they want $100 dollars for the upgrade. Since i bought it on sale, that'll be double the cost, which means i'm paying full retail, not the end of the world, but it seems kind of a shifty policy imo. They said i can wait for a sale and still get the current "upgrade discount" on top of it, as of now, that's what i will do.
curious to hear from guys who've tried #2
